A short intro animation based on the war film 1917. During World War I, the tone of postcards sent encompasses the range of human experience from sombre realism. The film focuses on two British soldiers receiving seemingly impossible orders. In a race against time, they must cross over into enemy territory to deliver a message that could potentially save 1,600 of their fellow comrades.
In order to display seriousness and add a touch of realism. I used postcards and pictures from that specific time period. The woman’s singing has been crossfaded with the different sounds of war.
